William MACCALL, b. 1824 Durisdeer, Dumfries-shire, Scotland; son of Archibald MCCALL (1791-1863) & Jane THOMSON (c1800-1870), both buried at Torthorwald, Lochmaben; brother of George McCall; shepherd; 1873 (widower) emigrated with 4 daughters to Darwin, Falklands [Malvinas]; 1884 to Hill Station, Río Gallegos; 1901 to Punta Arenas; d. 1901 Punta Arenas;

m. 1845;

Bridget Blanche RAE
; b. c1829, parish of Dalton or Torthorwald, near Lochmaben, Dumfries-shire; dtr. of John RAE & Mary GRIERSON; d. 1861: buried Lochmaben;

1. Mary, b. 1854; m. William HALLIDAY, moved to Santa Cruz
2. Jane, b. 1855; m. John CAMERON (see CAMERON--MACCALL)
