(1) Since birthplace is seldom stated in the inscriptions, some names have been excluded from the following list on more subjective grounds: for example, "not sounding British". On the other hand, some of the names that have been included may, in fact, not be of British descent. Having researched only a few of these families in depth, I apologize for any mistakes -- accuracy should improve over time.

(2) This is not a complete list of British burials in the Cemetery. For example, in the "British Section", some graves have no identifying information; and other persons may have been interred with relatives, without a corresponding inscription. I have now visited most sections of the grounds.
